Somo Africa is a non-profit organisation that drives sustainable growth and job creation in East Africa’s underserved communities. Named after the Swahili word for "lesson," Somo equips micro- and small-business owners—particularly women, youth, and people with disabilities—with essential resources. They deliver a full support model combining digital business training (DigiSomo), hands-on academy mentorship, working capital financing, and access to shared production facilities to help local entrepreneurs build, scale, and sustain impactful social enterprises.
